Great conversations and great vibes filling the room with over a hundred young and ambitious founders from all over the world. Even one high school freshman who flew in all the way from Texas for the weekend just to attend BeyondX!

After lunch, we jumped into one of the main events of the day: The Startup Runway. We had 10 different young founders come and pitch their startups in only 60 seconds. That’s just enough time to pitch the startup concept and, most importantly, what their ask from the audience was! From rental housing platforms to generative AI health therapy to virtual power plant smart batteries to African-impact platforms, we had it all.

Throughout the day, we had an electric energy powered with healthy boba (from Jenna and Cameron, keynote speakers and founders of Amino Avenue) and exciting energizers in the Californian sun.
We ended with the main event: The iconic Get in the Ring startup pitch battle featuring four founders from four startps.
With over a dozen applications, only four were told the night before that they were in the ring, and given only 45 minutes of time to prep with their mentors. We then went into two battles: Clarity vs VoiceX and QuickSole vs SafePlay AI. Each battle featured a five rounds where the founders got to rapid-fire pitch their problem, solution, team, business model, and ask from the audience.
Our judges live-deliberated and after two riveting startup pitch battles we had our final winners: Clarity and SafePlay AI.
We are so grateful to everyone who supported the BeyondX campaign: whether through helping to organize on August 2nd or showing up with a curious and passionate energy. This is just the beginning.
At the end of the day, we knew the answer all along to our core question: HOW WILL YOU GO BEYOND? We collected lots of big hopes and dreams on Aug 2nd, from revolutionizing education in underdeveloped regions to bridging the tech/AI knowledge gap for women to creating a healthy beverage alternative cheaper than water.
But how will you go beyond? With the right people — ambitious, brave, and bold — by your side.
